In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing recommendations for COVID-19 vaccination, the Post-Covid Care Clinic (located within the Queen Emma Clinic) expanded the specialty services available to include allergy and clinical immunology. The COVID-19 Vaccine Immunology Clinic at the Queen’s Medical Center is a specialized resource that can evaluate patients who are concerned about whether past clinical symptoms after vaccination prevent them from receiving any further COVID-19 vaccine doses.
Our clinic is staffed by a board certified allergist/immunologist with specific expertise in evaluating potential vaccine adverse events in both children and adults. A careful and thorough assessment of the symptoms are performed either in-person at the Queen Emma Clinic, or virtually using a telehealth visit. The physician will discuss the need for any further testing, or provide specific recommendations for the patient regarding additional COVID-19 vaccine doses.
If you are a physician who would like to refer a patient to our clinic, please provide the following information with your referral:
*All available medical records pertaining to the vaccine concerns, including emergency room notes or laboratory testing
*Copy of COVID-19 vaccination records if the patient received the vaccine outside of Hawaii (this includes records of any vaccine doses received outside of the US)
